Long-Term Health Conditions

  • Diabetes or Addison's disease
  • Liver disease (including cirrhosis or hepatitis)
  • Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, or Cerebral Palsy

Weakened Immune System

  • Chemotherapy treatment
  • Steroid medication affecting immunity
  • A BMI of 40 or above

Who Should Not Have the Flu Vaccine?

Some people should wait before having the flu vaccine.

  • Have had a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to a previous flu vaccine
  • Have a known allergy to any ingredient in the vaccine
  • Have a high temperature – wait until you feel better before vaccination
